Foreign investors can trade ASE-listed securities through Jordan Securities Commission (JSC)-licensed brokerage firms. Several banks including Arab Bank and Housing Bank have affiliated brokerage arms. International investors typically access the ASE through correspondent arrangements with licensed local brokers or through global custodian networks. The ASE launched internet trading in 2010, enabling remote order placement. Settlement follows a T+2 cycle. No foreign ownership cap applies to most listed equities, though individual company bylaws may set sector-specific limits. The JOD is freely convertible and pegged to the USD (1 JOD ≈ 1.41 USD), facilitating straightforward capital movement.

Jordan permits foreign nationals to own real estate and listed securities without an ownership cap; non-Jordanian investors held approximately 48% of total ASE market value as of early 2025. Corporate ownership restrictions exist in certain regulated sectors (banking, media, telecommunications) where specific licensing rules apply.
