Naspers is a South African multinational investment and media holding company, primarily known for its majority stake in Prosus N.V. and through Prosus its indirect stake in Chinese technology giant Tencent Holdings. Originally a print media company, Naspers made a transformative investment in Tencent in 2001 that has generated enormous value for shareholders. The company also retains interests in various internet platforms across emerging markets.
