About the company
Rumo is Brazil's largest independent rail freight operator, managing approximately 13,000 kilometres of rail network in southern and central-western Brazil and connecting agricultural commodity flows from the interior to the port of Santos. Controlled by Cosan S.A., the company transports primarily soybeans, corn, sugar, and fertilizers. Rumo is investing in expanding its rail network northward through the Malha Central concession to link Mato Grosso to the main export corridor.
