About the company
SABESP is the water and sewage utility for the state of São Paulo, serving more than 375 municipalities including the metropolitan region of São Paulo and providing clean water and sanitation services to tens of millions of people. Partially privatized in 2024 with Equatorial Energia acquiring a strategic stake, the company is now one of the largest privately-managed water utilities in the world. SABESP invests heavily in expanding sewer coverage and reducing water losses.
