Sinopec is one of the world's largest petroleum refining, marketing, and petrochemical companies, operating primarily in crude oil exploration and production, refinery operations, chemical manufacturing, and petroleum product retail in China. It operates the largest network of petrol stations in China and is a major supplier of gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and chemical feedstocks. The company is controlled by China Petrochemical Corporation, a central government state-owned enterprise.
