Tata Motors is India's largest commercial vehicle manufacturer and a significant passenger vehicle player, including in electric vehicles under the Tata EV brand. It owns the premium automotive brand Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), acquired from Ford in 2008, which contributes a large proportion of group revenue. Tata Motors is also a leading electric passenger vehicle manufacturer in India through its passenger vehicle subsidiary.
