Power Grid Corporation of India is the state-owned transmission utility responsible for building and operating India's inter-state high-voltage electricity transmission network, connecting power generators to load centres across the country. It operates one of the largest power transmission networks in the world by circuit length. The company is also expanding into smart grid and telecom infrastructure businesses.
