APBR represents the locally listed shares of Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras), Brazil's state-controlled oil major, which trades on BYMA as a cross-listed foreign share. Petrobras is one of the largest oil and gas companies in the world, with principal operations in Brazil's offshore pre-salt basins, as well as refining, natural gas, and biofuels. Its primary listing is on the NYSE (PBR) and B3 in Brazil.
